Katerina U is an associate at Ventura Hersey & Muller. She represents clients in civil litigation matters with a primary focus on real estate and construction disputes. Katerina makes routine court appearances and is experienced with trial preparation, motion practice, mediation, and arbitration.

Katerina was born and raised in the Bay Area. She has a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley in molecular and cell biology and a minor in public policy. Katerina received her law degree from Santa Clara University, where she graduated cum laude and earned a certification in high-tech law, also with honors. Katerina was a recipient of the Emery Merit Law Scholarship, the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Remedies, and the Richard P. and Madé S. Berg Social Justice Public Interest Grant. During law school, Katerina was a senior editor on law review and served on the executive board of the Student Bar Association.

Katerina’s legal experience includes clerking for the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office and the Northern California Innocence Project. Before she was a lawyer, Katerina worked in the biopharmaceutical industry managing licensing agreements and analyzing adverse event reports from clinical trials for liver disease and blood cancer therapies. Katerina’s varied experience enables her to develop a deep understanding of her clients’ issues and find solutions to their problems.

Katerina is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and the William A. Ingram American Inn of Court.
